Operating an e-scooter for long periods (especially up a lot of hills) in extremely warm temperatures can shorten the lifespan of a scooter. The motor, the battery, all the other electronics, and even the brakes and the tires already get hot. But when pushing the performance of a scooter when it’s above 30°C, the chances of a defect will be greater.
Low temperatures won’t weaken any components, but will reduce the capacity of the battery, and therefore reduce the range so plan accordingly.
The optimal riding temperature for a scooter is 16°C to 25°C.
